Landscape Value An evergreen shrub with small rounded leaves like Boxwood. In this form the leaves are dark green with an edging of golden yellow. It forms a dense mound and responds well to clipping. Tiny creamy white flowers appear in early summer. Nice as a specimen shrub and also suitable for a low hedge. For hedging, space plants about 12 to 18 inches apart. Trim at any time. Plants are easily kept to a small size. Said to be tolerant of seaside conditions. Evergreen in mild winter regions but after a hard winter some browning might be evident. In hot regions give some afternoon shade. |
